IN OandK netball's C grade match of the round, Bright came out victors against Tarrawingee by an impressive six goals.
Saturday's clash would determine second position on the ladder, with the young Mountain Maidens desperate to maintain their strong run of form.
In a high-scoring affair, Gill Deed and Grace Jordan were vital in the 48-42 win.
Deed was the highest scorer netting 26, but Jordan was named the side's best with 22 goals and a strong performance around the court.
Other solid matches came from the reliable Bek Lebish and Allanah Jones.
It was another tough day in the other grades against Tarrawingee.
A grade continues to make improvements, but was outclassed in the main show.
Georgie Matters was a workhorse in mid-court and received strong support in defence from Gemma O'Donnell and Katie Thomson.
The return of Ellie Buckley has provided some spark in attack, with the 18 year old finding plenty of goals, finishing with 20 at the weekend.
The B-grade side had a tough ask against the Bulldogs, who have only lost the one match so far this season.
Bec Crawley was a standout for the Mountain Maids, who were on the end of a 53-21 loss.
B-reserve also struggled against an undefeated Tarra line up, going down by 35 goals.
Erin Graves continued her good season with a best on court match, while Valeria Kretchet and Darcy Pryor stood tall for Bright.
