BEECHWORTH is keen to show off its new $2.7 million facility at Baarmutha Park and is almost certain to pursue the possibility of hosting future Tallangatta and District Football League finals.
The TDFL finals series has been one of the most passionately debated topics in recent years and now Beechworth is keen to take finals away from Sandy Creek.
The Bushrangers' move is expected to increase the talk about the finals venue, with ex-Rutherglen coach Mark Sarau labelling the Sandy Creek facilities as substandard in 2010.
Beechworth was one of seven clubs to vote in favor of keeping the finals at Sandy Creek and North East Football Hub general manager Zac Guilfoyle said the same venue would be used again this season for all finals.
But Bushrangers' committee member Kel Clark said times were changing and Beechworth had become a popular away trip for clubs.
