We would like to welcome all our supporters, sponsors and visitors to what should be a great day of football and netball on this 2016 Good Friday.
Our 2015 season was a great year for the Bloods, we won our first ever A Grade netball premiership, our senior footballers improved on the previous year and narrowly missed out on a grand final berth, and our Under 15 netballers unfortunately lost the grand final, but it was a fantastic effort for them to make the big one.
The upcoming season is shaping up to be a big one. We have Jeremy Cardillo taking on our Presidents job this year with David Farrell and Trish Wooden, his Vice Presidents. The three of them have been heavily involved in the club and are excited with the opportunity to lead the club to success in 2016.
Our coaching panel for the football is Sean Logie and Dane Maxwell coaching our seniors, Mal Hart coaching our reserves, Matt Wooden once again taking on our U17's and Bob Bourke once again mentoring our U14's. We have quite a few footballers joining the club this year, this being new players to the club and locals returning back to the club. We would like to welcome them all to this wonderful club and hope we can have a successful year for you all.
They have also been busy over at the netball courts. The courts are looking a treat with our new undercover area built and another one half way there. These undercover areas will be a real asset once completed.
All teams are full of enthusiasm and keen to get the 2016 season started.
We have Jacq Davis and Millie Ferguson leading last year's premier A Grade and B Grade sides, Kylie Hicks (C Grade) and Melissa Herezo (C Res).
Numbers are looking good with lots of returning players and plenty of new faces; all looking forward to working together to maintain the club's great atmosphere, have some fun and hopefully achieve some successes along the way!
We're delighted to have an Under 17 team this season, ably coached by Leah Pate. There are also plenty of junior girls who cannot wait to take to the courts, U15's coached by Leisa Desailly, Stacey Almond (U13's), Laura Palmer and Caity Bourke coaching our minis.
Be sure to come over and show your support throughout the season and cheer the girls on. Good luck to all sides and GO BLOODS.
Once again this club needs volunteers every week, whether at the football or the netball. It takes a lot of volunteers every week to get four games of football and eight games of netball up and running. If you can give the club a small part of your time, this would be very appreciative. Call into the office and see Deb Garlick and she will lead you in the right direction.
One our our sponsors - Terminus Hotel - has offered this year to give a 10% discount off purchases at the hotel on presentation of your membership card. Let's get behind our sponsor and take up his offer.
