A big thank you must go to all the volunteers that helped out over the Easter Weekend. It was a massive weekend for the club with the footy on Friday, Races on Saturday and the Rodeo on Sunday, and without these helpers the club would not be able to function. For those that didn't help out or turn up for shifts when required, please think about this as there were quite a few helpers that well and truly doubled up for the weekend. For this club to be a success we need to all put our hand up and be accounted for, after all this is YOUR club too.
Good luck today against the Jerilderie Demons. Our awards tonight will be read out at Kelly's Hotel. Please get back and support one of our sponsors.
The Junior Bloods came up against a well drilled Saints outfit last Friday and unfortunately were second to the ball for a lot of the game which saw us go down by 6 goals in the end. Decklin Smithers was the stand out, starting in the back line and more than holding his own when moved onto the ball. Taz, Cody, Drew, Tommy, Zander and Harvey all battled hard but overall our endeavour slipped a bit from the week before. Let's get back to getting the footy today and see how we go. Congratulations to Aden Donnell who plays his 50th U/14's game today. Well done Aden.
Our Under 17 boys tried hard all day. It was an improvement on the week before. Congratulations to Mitch Vanderhoek for a great game in the ruck followed by Tyrone Smithers in the back line. Jay Buckley showing some moves across half back with Tom Hatty setting an impressive pace on the wing. Great team effort!
Great win for the seconds this week! Everyone contributed when needed which set us up for a great team win. Best on ground went to Luke Fuller for his fantastic effort in the ruck. Charles McKenna played his first game for the season and was exciting to watch at centre half forward. It was a huge positive for the club to see the younger players step up this week. Looking forward to a great game this week against Jerilderie.
